‘I Kept Treating Infections’ — Tunmise Opens Up On Messy Breakup With Ivana

TikTok influencer Tunmise has shared his side of the breakup with his former girlfriend, Ivana, following her allegations of infidelity, verbal abuse, and domestic violence.

Responding in a video, Tunmise denied the accusations and claimed he made several sacrifices to keep the relationship together.

According to him, Ivana travelled to Calabar to reunite with her former boyfriend—the same person she had previously spoken negatively about.

He said:

“Ivana went to see her ex in Calabar, the same ex she painted the worst to me. I was trying to do better than her ex. Someone I was trying to do better than, that was the person you went back to.”

Tunmise claimed that although the couple often appeared happy on social media, they were dealing with serious issues behind the scenes.

He alleged that he financially supported Ivana and some members of her family throughout their relationship.

According to him, after they tried to resolve their differences, Ivana suggested they stay together in a hotel to work on the relationship.

He claimed he paid ₦150,000 per day for a hotel where they stayed for about three weeks and also covered her shopping and other expenses.

Tunmise further alleged that Ivana later told him she had been invited to an event in Calabar and that her flight had already been booked.

He said he personally took her to the airport before later discovering she allegedly travelled to meet her ex-boyfriend.

According to him, he became aware of the meeting after receiving messages, photos, and videos from a woman he identified as the ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend.

Despite the incident, Tunmise said he forgave Ivana because her birthday was only a few weeks away.

Addressing claims that he verbally abused her, Tunmise admitted calling Ivana offensive names during heated arguments but said it happened while they were both dealing with recurring infections.

He said:

“We treat infection, treat infection, infection no gree go. Out of pain I called her a prostitute.”

Tunmise also denied physically abusing Ivana, alleging that she assaulted him on several occasions.

To support his claims, he displayed screenshots which he said showed Ivana apologising, admitting she had a bad temper, and asking him to reconcile with her.

His response comes after Ivana publicly admitted cheating during their relationship but claimed she did so after allegedly enduring repeated infidelity, verbal abuse, and physical assault from Tunmise. She also accused him of damaging her career opportunities.

Both parties have made conflicting allegations, and the claims have not been independently verified.
