The veteran singer explained that she had hoped to make the marriage work but eventually accepted that some things in life were beyond her control.

Rather than allow the challenges in her marriage to define her life, Abeni said she decided to concentrate on her music career, which continued to thrive despite her personal difficulties.

She also addressed her relationship with the children she shares with Kollington Ayinla, stressing that the end of their marriage did not change his position as their father.

“Destiny can never be changed. I tried to be a wife, but unfortunately, it did not work out. So, I decided to focus on my music career. I have children, and everybody knows that General Kollington Ayinla is their father. The marriage did not work out, but my career did,” she said.

Abeni’s remarks reflect her acceptance of the end of the marriage and her decision to focus on her professional achievements while acknowledging Kollington Ayinla’s role as the father of their children.
