I Usually Grab His Phone When He Goes Wild On Instagram Live – Burna Boy’s Mother Opens Up About His Personality
Bose Ogulu, the mother of Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy, has opened up about her son’s personality and how she handles his controversial moments.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels TV hosted by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Bose explained that there is a clear difference between the way she uses social media and the way her son does.
She described Burna Boy as being like a tapestry, noting that his different personality traits are connected and contribute to what makes him unique.

“You can always notice the difference between when I tweet and when Burna tweets. What I’ve come to learn is that artists like him, they’re like tapestry. If you pull at one thread too hard, everything will unravel,” she said.
According to Bose, people have to make allowances for Burna Boy to be himself because the same emotions and characteristics that can sometimes attract criticism are also part of what people admire about him.
“So you must make allowances for this person being himself, because it’s the same emotion that what you love about him comes from. Within, we do what we can,” she explained.
Bose also revealed that she sometimes intervenes when her son becomes too outspoken during Instagram Live sessions.
“I usually grab his phone from him anytime he goes wild on Instagram Live,” she said.
Her comments offer an insight into how she balances supporting Burna Boy’s individuality while also stepping in when his outspoken personality takes centre stage online.
