Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has recounted how a severe illness left her in a coma and nearly claimed her life.

According to her, what initially appeared to be a common illness gradually became more serious. She moved from one hospital to another as doctors tried to treat her condition.
The actress said the illness lasted for months and eventually became so severe that she lost consciousness and went into a coma.
She revealed that doctors gave her only a 50/50 chance of survival during the difficult period.
Sikiratu Sindodo also disclosed that her mother was at one point advised to go home because doctors were uncertain about whether she would survive.
She said her recovery was a result of prayers and expressed gratitude to God for preserving her life.
“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one hospital to another. I can’t remember how long it lasted. I think it lasted for months because I was in a coma and was given a 50/50 chance. My mum was even told to go home.
“God answered a lot of prayers in my life. God has been faithful because I don’t want to be emotional,” she said.
