I’d swap next Ballon d’Or for Champions League trophy – Kane
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has revealed that he would gladly exchange his chances of winning the next Ballon d’Or for a Champions League triumph with the German club this season.
Bayern Munich reached the semi-finals of the competition last season but failed to progress to the final after losing 6-5 on aggregate to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The England captain made his position clear while speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Kane said: “I think I’d swap the next Ballon d’Or for a Champions League triumph.”
He added: “Ballon d’Or was one of the greatest moments of my life. But winning the Champions League with Bayern – that would be an absolutely incredible feeling.”
The striker’s comments highlight his desire to achieve European success with Bayern, despite already enjoying major individual recognition during his career.
