American rapper Cardi B has sparked reactions on social media after revealing the strict rule she would enforce if her son got a girl pregnant while still living in her house.

In a video shared online, the rapper said that becoming a parent comes with adult responsibilities. According to her, anyone old enough to have a child should also be ready to take care of themselves without depending on their parents.

Cardi B explained that she would not allow her son to continue living under her roof after making what she described as a grown man’s decision. She added that her stance is not out of anger but to teach responsibility and independence.

In her words:

“If my sons ever tell me that they have a girl pregnant, the day that you tell me that you got a girl pregnant, it will be the day that you will have to get the f**k out of my house.

“And it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because once you make grown man decisions, you have to be a man.

“It’s no mommy’s money, it’s no daddy’s money, it’s no mommy’s roof.

“You have to get out of my house, and you have to get a job, and you gotta learn how to be a man…”
