“I’ll Send You Far Away From Here” – Victoria Orenze Warns Worshippers Against Recording During Ministration
Popular Nigerian gospel singer Victoria Orenze has warned worshippers against recording videos on their phones during ministration, urging them to put their devices away and focus on having a genuine encounter with God.
The singer made the remarks in a video circulating online, where she confronted people attempting to record her during worship.

Orenze questioned why some worshippers were more concerned about capturing videos than concentrating on the spiritual experience. She urged them to stop recording and pay attention to their time in God’s presence.
“Everything is about capturing, and yet you will have nothing inside. You want to capture? Capture in your heart. Drop those phones. Have an encounter with God,” she admonished.
The gospel singer stressed that being physically present during ministration was not enough if worshippers were not spiritually focused.
She also referenced biblical accounts involving Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood to explain why people seeking God should prioritise their spiritual needs rather than recording events.
According to Orenze, the woman with the issue of blood did not attempt to record Jesus when He passed by but focused on seeking healing.
“The woman with the issue of blood didn’t say, ‘Jesus is passing, let me video Him.’ You don’t have an issue; if you do, you won’t pick up your phones and make videos,” she added.
Orenze’s comments have sparked conversations about the use of mobile phones during church services and whether recording worship sessions distracts people from their spiritual experience.
