Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has announced plans to host Nobel Prize-winning writer Professor Wole Soyinka on his livestream, sparking excitement over the possibility of a conversation between the two personalities.

The content creator revealed his intention during a livestream, telling viewers that he would provide more details about the proposed session in the coming days.

Peller, who is known for his spontaneous humour and informal style of speaking, suggested that the conversation would offer a different experience for his audience, given Soyinka’s reputation for his command of the English language.

Speaking during the livestream, he said: “I want to do a stream with Prof. Wole Soyinka. I will announce it soon and tell you guys the plan. It will be a proper English day. You will hear some ‘grammar’ that day.”

Why Peller Wants To Host Wole Soyinka

Peller has built a substantial online following through entertaining livestreams featuring celebrities, fellow content creators and unscripted conversations.

His proposed session with Soyinka has attracted attention because of the contrast between Peller’s casual and humorous communication style and the literary icon’s distinguished academic and literary background.

Soyinka is one of Africa’s most celebrated literary figures, renowned for his contributions as a playwright, poet and novelist.

In 1986, he made history as the first African to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, earning international recognition for his literary achievements.

The proposed livestream could bring together two personalities from different entertainment and cultural backgrounds, potentially introducing Soyinka to some of Peller’s younger online audience.

Peller Yet To Announce Livestream Date

Despite expressing enthusiasm about the proposed session, Peller did not disclose when the livestream would take place.

It also remains unclear whether Soyinka has accepted the invitation, as no confirmation of his participation was provided in Peller’s announcement.

For now, viewers will have to wait for further details from the TikTok star regarding the proposed meeting.
