Gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu has addressed growing concerns about his health after many fans noticed his significant weight loss and began speculating that he was seriously ill.

The singer explained that his physical appearance changed after he was involved in a fire accident at his home. According to him, the incident left him with injuries on his left hand and parts of his face, including his lips.

Speaking in a video shared on Instagram, Kehinde assured fans that he is medically stable and not battling any life-threatening illness. He, however, asked supporters to keep him in their prayers as he continues to recover.

He also dismissed claims that the fire incident was caused by alcohol consumption, stressing that alcohol had nothing to do with the accident.

Kehinde further clarified that his weight loss was partly related to health issues and lifestyle changes. He recalled that after the death of his brother, Taiwo, some people advised him to lose weight because they felt he had become too heavy.

The gospel singer emphasized that the accident was not a spiritual attack, adding that everyone faces different challenges in life, whether physical, medical, or spiritual.

He said:

“To everyone that is worried about me, I am very okay and medically fit. I had a minor fire accident in the house, but I decided not to post it on social media. It affected my left hand and some parts of my face, including my lips.

“It was not a spiritual attack. Everyone has one or two things they are battling with medically and spiritually. Just remember me in your prayers.

“To those saying my alcohol consumption is too much, alcohol didn’t cause the fire. I lost some weight because of my health. When Taiwo passed away, people called me and said my stomach was too big and I should work on it. I am not sick.”

His statement has reassured many fans, who have continued to send him messages of support and prayers for a full recovery.
