Lady I Wanted Serious Relationship With Said She’s Not Ready – Rema

Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has revealed that he recently experienced heartbreak after a woman he wanted a serious relationship with told him she was not ready to commit.

Speaking during a livestream with streamer Okiki on Friday night, Rema said he approached the woman about having a “serious relationship,” but she turned him down because she wanted to continue experiencing life as a single woman.

According to the 26-year-old singer, the woman told him she did not want to be taken “off the streets” yet.

Rema revealed that the experience inspired his song, ‘Oh No.’

“The song was inspired by a lady I wanted a serious relationship with, but she said she still wants to be on the streets,” he said.

The singer also disclosed that he has been taking time to re-evaluate his life, explaining that his rise to fame happened very quickly after he became famous at the age of 17.

“Everything moved so fast,” Rema said.
