LaLiga: Alvarez Booed As Lookman Fails To Shine In Atletico Draw With Villarreal

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman failed to score as Atletico Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw by Villarreal in their LaLiga match on Sunday.

The game also marked the return of Julian Alvarez, who was booed by some Atletico Madrid supporters inside the Wanda Metropolitano.

Lookman started the match and played for 79 minutes before he was replaced by Jose Gimenez as Atletico searched for a winning goal.

Atletico took the lead when Marc Pubill produced an impressive finish into the top corner.

Villarreal responded through Gerard Moreno, who converted a penalty to bring the visitors level.

Lookman was unable to make a significant impact in front of goal before leaving the pitch, as Atletico eventually had to settle for a draw.
