LaLiga: Too Soon To Criticise Mourinho At Real Madrid – Cucurella

Real Madrid defender Marc Cucurella has said it is too early to criticise head coach Jose Mourinho following the club’s inconsistent start to the LaLiga season.

Speaking during a press conference on Friday, Cucurella insisted that Mourinho and the team should be judged after the season rather than based on their early results.

Since returning to the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho has overseen two defeats in Real Madrid’s opening seven LaLiga matches.

The losses against Real Betis and Atletico Madrid have left Real Madrid six points behind their rivals Barcelona in the league table.

Cucurella explained that the team is still adapting to Mourinho’s methods, particularly because some players had only a short pre-season before the campaign began.

“At Madrid, we have just started with a new manager, and it’s too soon to speak. Some players only had a week-long pre-season before starting,” Cucurella said.

“The beginning of the season hasn’t been what we all hoped for, but it’s a process, and we will see where we are at the end of the campaign,” he added.
