“Let Me Breathe First” – Uche Ogbodo Responds To Flood Of Messages After Reported Marriage Split

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has reacted to the wave of attention she has received from male admirers following reports that her marriage to Bobby Maris has ended.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed that she received more than 100 direct messages from men in a single day. However, she made it clear that she is not looking to start another relationship anytime soon.

According to Ogbodo, she needs time to heal before considering a new romantic relationship.

She wrote:

“Nah wah ooooo! It’s like all these men I’ve been looking for a way to get to me, ’cos what in heaven is going on in my DM? Guys make una chill ooo! I’m not searching yet! Let me breathe first. Ogini nu! 100 DMs a day is too much for just me. Haba!”

The actress’ comments come amid growing speculation that her second marriage has crashed.

Earlier, Ogbodo shared a series of emotional posts on social media in which she questioned why society often accepts it when a man becomes tired of a marriage but criticizes a woman for expressing similar feelings.

She also suggested that a woman’s happiness in marriage often depends on having the right support system and questioned why choosing to leave an unhappy marriage should be treated as a wrongdoing.

Reflecting on her experience, Ogbodo said she had spent eight years in the relationship and wondered whether people expected her to remain in it indefinitely before her pain would be acknowledged.

Neither Uche Ogbodo nor Bobby Maris has officially confirmed the reported separation or provided further details about the state of their marriage.
