My Employee Stole From Me – Tolanibaj Claims

Popular DJ, entrepreneur and former BBNaija housemate, Tolanibaj, has alleged that a former employee stole DJ equipment worth millions of naira from her academy and is currently on the run.

Tolanibaj claimed that she employed Precious Akiyemi Deborah as an executive assistant in April and later entrusted her with more than ₦6 million to purchase four DJ controllers for the academy.

According to the DJ, she discovered several weeks later that three of the controllers were missing from the academy.

She alleged that when she questioned Precious, the former employee claimed she had taken the equipment home because they were faulty.

Tolanibaj said she subsequently terminated Precious’ employment and sent some members of staff to her residence to retrieve the equipment.

However, she alleged that the staff members arrived at the residence but could not find anyone there.

The entrepreneur further claimed that she later discovered that Precious had attempted to sell the DJ controllers and had also contacted another DJ about renting similar equipment.

Tolanibaj said the matter was reported to the police, resulting in the arrest of two individuals who allegedly bought the equipment.

She added that one of the allegedly stolen controllers has since been recovered, while Precious is reportedly being sought by the police.

Tolanibaj appealed to anyone with information about the former employee’s whereabouts to contact her.

Visibly emotional while recounting the incident, the DJ advised business owners to establish stronger accountability and monitoring systems to protect their businesses and valuable equipment.
