Nations League: Klopp Suffers First Defeat As Greece Claim Shock Win Over Germany

Jurgen Klopp suffered his first defeat as Germany head coach after his side lost 1-0 to Greece in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

Dimitrios scored the only goal of the match in Augsburg, handing Greece a historic victory over the four-time world champions.

The defeat came in Klopp’s first match on home soil since taking charge of the German national team.

Germany struggled to create clear chances throughout the encounter and lacked the attacking energy they showed during their 1-1 draw with the Netherlands on Thursday.

The hosts found it difficult to break through Greece’s defence during the opening hour as the visitors remained organised and disciplined.

Greece eventually punished Germany on the counter-attack, with Kourbelis scoring in the 74th minute to give his team the lead.
