Nkechi Blessing Urges Trolls To Stop Mocking Women Over Age, Marriage

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has appealed to social media users to stop mocking or attacking women over their age, marital status or inability to have children.

The actress made the appeal in a post on Instagram while addressing women who are hoping or praying for marriage, children and other personal desires.

Nkechi Blessing also warned women seeking divine intervention to be careful about people who claim to have spiritual messages or prophecies concerning their lives.

She urged women not to believe every prophecy they hear, particularly when such messages concern sensitive issues such as marriage and childbirth.

According to her, some people may take advantage of women’s personal struggles by using fake prophecies to deceive them.

The actress also criticised online trolls who regularly make hurtful comments about women who are unmarried or have no children.

She urged social media users to stop reminding women that they are getting older, unmarried or childless, stressing that people may not know the personal challenges such women are facing.

She said, “In everything you do in this life, and as a woman seeking the face of God for anything. Be it a child, husband, or anything at all. Please and please beware of fake prophecy.

“And to you godforsaken demons called online trolls, take it easy on always reminding a woman she’s getting old and unmarried, childless, etc. You never know the battles they fight behind the scenes. May God grant us long life.”

Nkechi Blessing’s message has sparked conversations about the pressure women face on social media over marriage, childbirth and age, as well as the need for people to be more sensitive when discussing other people’s personal lives.
