‘No Successful Person Wants To Retire In Nigeria’ — Blaqbonez

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has claimed that no successful person wants to spend their retirement in Nigeria, citing the country’s challenges and his experiences travelling abroad.

The rapper, whose real name is Emeka Akumefule, made the remarks during an appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, where he described Nigeria as “hectic” and said visiting other countries had made him realise how much the country needed to improve.

“Nigeria is hectic, but it is still home. When you go to other countries, you will realise how far we are from where we should be,” he said.

Speaking about his retirement plans, Blaqbonez said he found it difficult to imagine successful people choosing to remain in Nigeria after leaving active work.

“I don’t think that there is any successful person who wants to live in Nigeria after retirement. Maybe there are some people,” he said.

The rapper also shared his personal vision for retirement, revealing that he would like to live on a large ranch and raise animals.

According to him, this is the kind of lifestyle he hopes to enjoy in retirement, although he does not associate it with living in Nigeria.
