Nollywood Actress Omeche Oko Hospitalised After Serious Movie Set Accident

Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has been hospitalised after narrowly escaping death in a serious motorbike accident that occurred while filming a movie, just days before her birthday.

The actress shared a video of the incident on her Instagram page on Wednesday, revealing how the accident happened during a scene shoot in Lagos.

According to the footage, Oko was riding on a motorbike with her colleague, Victory Michael, who was operating the bike when it crashed into a pole on the movie set.

The impact of the collision left Victory Michael unconscious for a short period after he struck his chest against the pole. Omeche Oko reportedly sustained a broken leg in the accident.

Crew members and fellow actors immediately rushed the injured duo to a medical facility, where they received treatment.

Reflecting on the incident, the actress described the experience as a reminder of how fragile life can be and expressed gratitude for surviving the crash.

She wrote:

“Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

Following her post, several colleagues from the movie industry flooded the comment section with messages of support and prayers for her recovery, including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Tonia Aladese, Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim-Effiong.

The incident has once again highlighted the risks actors often face while performing physically demanding scenes during film productions.
