Inter Lagos interim head coach, Olusanjo Olutayo, has promised to make changes to his team following the club’s poor performance in their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign.

The Lagos-based side have managed just one victory since the start of the season and are currently on a seven-match winless run.

Inter Lagos sit at the bottom of the NPFL table with six points, increasing the pressure on the team to improve their results.

Olutayo has demanded greater intensity from his players, warning that he will not tolerate individuals who lack confidence or struggle to follow instructions.

“I don’t like players who are scared, if I have cowards in my team which I think we don’t but if we do we will weed them out,” Olutayo told Sporting Theory.

He added: “We will weed out cowards, soft players and players who can’t recollect information from the team. The NPFL is the highest level of league football here and I will work with players who can manage information but if there isn’t any here there will be an issue.”
