NPFL: Sikiru Alimi Set For Kano Pillars’ Switch

Former Remo Stars forward Sikiru Alimi is reportedly close to returning to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with Kano Pillars.

The experienced striker was spotted training with Kano Pillars amid discussions over a potential move to the four-time NPFL champions.

Alimi left Remo Stars in August 2025 to join Algerian club JS Saoura.

The 30-year-old enjoyed an impressive spell at Remo Stars, scoring 28 goals during his time with the club.

A move to Kano Pillars would strengthen the team’s attacking options as they prepare for a successful campaign in the Nigerian top flight.

Alimi is also familiar with Kano Pillars’ technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, having previously worked under him during his time at Remo Stars.
