NPFL: Ugwu Bids Farewell To Bendel Insurance After Mosta FC Move

Emmanuel Ugwu has said goodbye to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Bendel Insurance following his move away from the club.

The defender has completed a transfer to Maltese club Mosta FC after spending time with the Benin-based side.

Ugwu expressed his appreciation to Bendel Insurance and the club’s supporters for their support during his time in Benin City.

The defender made 46 appearances for the Benin Arsenals before leaving the club.

In his farewell message, Ugwu described his time at Bendel Insurance as a special experience and thanked his teammates, captain and supporters for making him feel at home.

“Can a city, a dressing room, and a team become your home?” Ugwu wrote in his farewell message. “Yes.”

“That’s what Benin City was for me. That’s what Bendel Insurance was for me.”

“From the first minutes at the club, to settling in, to the way all my teammates made themselves available, to the thoughtfulness of the captain.

“Bendel Insurance can’t be described in words. It has to be experienced.

“Thanks, everyone. I gave my all in every minute I played, and in every training session. Always. Now a new challenge begins for me.”
