Peer Pressure Pushed Me To Do BBL – Mercy Eke
Reality TV star Mercy Eke has opened up about why she decided to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), revealing that the decision was influenced by trends and peer pressure.
Speaking during an interview with Korty EO, the Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner said she did not tell her mother about the surgery because she knew she would strongly discourage her from going through with it.
Mercy Eke also spoke about the difficult recovery process after the procedure. According to her, the first few days were extremely painful, especially the first three days.
She explained that people who undergo a BBL cannot sit or sleep on their backs for about 14 days while recovering.
Despite the pain she experienced, Mercy said she is happy with the outcome of the surgery and now feels comfortable with her body.
She said, “I got a BBL because it was trending and there was a lot of peer pressure. I didn’t tell my mum because I knew she would discourage me. You can’t sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you’ll cry for the first 3 days from the pain… but look, it’s soft now.”
