Nigerian TikTok star Peller has responded to rapper Ycee after the musician criticized his online content and linked it to what he described as declining educational values in Nigeria.

During an interview on the Afropolitan podcast, Ycee condemned what he called “Peller culture,” describing the TikToker’s style of content as outrageous.

The rapper questioned the impact and educational value of such content, arguing that intelligence and academic excellence are no longer being celebrated in the country. He cited internet personalities like Peller as examples of the trend.

Reacting in a video shared on social media, Peller criticized Ycee for mentioning his name publicly and described the rapper as a “very anyhow OG.”

He argued that an older and more experienced person should be able to express an opinion without calling out individuals directly.

“The same olodo uprising wey una dey use promote una noise, very anyhow OG. If you’re an elderly person, respect yourself. Must you mention names? You yourself are an illiterate because, as an elderly man with sense, you should be able to make your point without mentioning anyone’s name,” Peller said.
