The statement explained that operatives attached to the Farm Centre Police Division intercepted a tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, after suspecting possible criminal activity.

A search reportedly led to the discovery of a bag containing a locally fabricated revolver pistol and two rounds of live ammunition in Ahmed’s possession.

The police said the arrests were carried out in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s directives on intelligence-led policing and ongoing efforts to recover illegal firearms.
