Police Arrest Umuahia Barber After Pot Filled With Human Hair Was Found In His Home

A barber identified as Emeka has been arrested by operatives of the Abia State Police Command after a clay pot containing human hair was discovered in his one-room apartment in Umuahia.

Emeka, who is said to be well known in the area for his barbing skills, was arrested on Tuesday after his neighbour, Mr. Johnson Ikenga, reported to the police that the barber had allegedly threatened him.

During the arrest, police officers searched the suspect’s apartment and reportedly found a clay pot filled with human hair and other suspected fetish items.

According to reports, Emeka admitted that the pot belonged to him but could not explain what the items were being used for or where the human hair came from.

The discovery has sparked concern among residents, with many suspecting that the hair may have been collected from customers who visited his barbing salon. However, there is no official confirmation to support those claims.

The suspect was taken to the Central Police Station in Umuahia, where investigations are ongoing.

The Abia State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
