Portugal Coach, Jesus Names Two Most Powerful Strikers In The World

Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus has named Norway’s Erling Haaland and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen as the two most powerful strikers in the world at the moment.

Jesus made the statement during his pre-match press conference ahead of Portugal’s Nations League clash against Norway at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on Sunday.

The 72-year-old Portuguese coach was asked about Haaland and gave a detailed assessment of the Manchester City striker’s physical and technical qualities, particularly inside the penalty area.

Jesus said: “Haaland is the most physically and technically powerful player inside the box. Outside the area, he is not quite as dominant, even though he is fast.”

He then compared Haaland with Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey, adding: “But inside the box, for me, he and Osimhen are the strongest in the world.”

Haaland represents Manchester City in the English Premier League, while Osimhen continues his career with Galatasaray. Both forwards have reportedly made impressive starts to the current season with their respective clubs.
