Saudi League: Great achievement – Ronaldo reacts as he becomes Al-Nassr’s all-time top scorer
Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his happiness after becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League.
The Portugal international achieved the milestone after scoring in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 victory over Al-Taawoun at home on Friday.
Ronaldo’s goal took his Saudi Pro League tally for Al-Nassr to 104 goals in 110 appearances, surpassing the previous record of 103 goals held by former Al-Nassr striker Mohammed Al-Sahlawi.
The achievement further adds to Ronaldo’s impressive individual records since moving to Saudi Arabia. Despite being in the later stages of his career, the 41-year-old continues to play a key role for Al-Nassr and remains one of the club’s most important players.
Speaking after the match, Ronaldo described the new record as a great achievement but was quick to acknowledge the contribution of his teammates and supporters.
“I am very happy; this is a great achievement.
“But it’s not just my effort. I must express my heartfelt thanks to my teammates because, without them, none of this would be possible.
“At the same time, I am also really happy for the fans, who have supported me from beginning to end, and I am incredibly proud of that,” Ronaldo said.
The victory over Al-Taawoun also provided Ronaldo with another memorable moment as he continues to strengthen his legacy at Al-Nassr.
