Super Falcons: Ohale Announces Retirement From International Football

Super Falcons defender Osinachi Ohale has announced her retirement from international football after 16 years of representing Nigeria.

Ohale’s decision brings an end to a remarkable spell with the 10-time African champions, during which she established herself as an experienced member of the national team.

The 34-year-old centre-back made 86 appearances for the Super Falcons and won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title four times.

She also represented Nigeria at four FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments during her international career.

Ohale announced her decision through a statement on social media, confirming that she had made the difficult choice to step away from the national team.

“After 16 years of wearing the Nigerian jersey, representing my country, and giving everything I had to the beautiful game, I have made the very difficult decision to retire from international football,” Ohale wrote on Instagram.

Following her retirement from the Super Falcons, Ohale will now focus on her club career as she begins a new chapter away from international football.
