The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released its Best XI for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with no Super Falcons player making the final selection.

Nigeria had a disappointing tournament and were eliminated in the quarter-finals after a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

The result meant the 10-time African champions failed to reach the semi-finals for the first time in the history of the competition.

WAFCON champions Cameroon dominated the Best XI selection with four players. Goalkeeper Michaelly Bihina, Myrian Myadjou, Monique Ngock and Marie Ngah were all included.

Runners-up Malawi had two players in the team, with sisters Tabitha Chawinga and Temwa Chawinga making the selection.

Hosts Morocco also had two representatives, Mohaila Benzina and Hanane Ait El Haj.

Algeria contributed another two players, with Ines Bellomou and Marine Dafeur included in the Best XI.

Zambia striker Barbara Banda completed the 2026 WAFCON Best XI.
