Tinubu Fixing Nigeria, Things Now Better – Jide Kosoko
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying the government is working to address Nigeria’s challenges and that the situation is not as bad as some Nigerians claim.
Kosoko made the remarks during an appearance on Talk To B, a podcast hosted by actress Biola Adebayo. He urged Nigerians to reflect on the state of the country before Tinubu assumed office.

“Things are not as bad as some people have claimed and they need to understand. Go and check the majority of those people. Before Tinubu came, what were they eating?” the actor said.
When asked what evidence ordinary Nigerians could point to as proof that the President was fixing the country, Kosoko maintained that the administration was making efforts to address existing problems.
He cited the government’s student loan scheme as one of its initiatives, urging beneficiaries to speak publicly about how the programme had helped them.
Kosoko also said the government had promised to support graduates who were unable to secure employment immediately after completing their studies.
According to the actor, such initiatives deserved more public attention.
Kosoko, who said he had been involved in politics since 1978, argued that political interests sometimes prevented Nigerians from acknowledging what they considered progress under an administration.
He claimed that some opposition figures knew the government was making progress but allowed their political ambitions to influence their views.
“Those in the opposition know the truth. They know that the man is on the right track, but ambition is affecting their thinking,” Jide Kosoko said.
