Transfer: Alexis Sanchez’s New Club Confirmed

CF Montréal have signed Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez as a free agent, the Major League Soccer (MLS) club announced on Tuesday.

Sánchez has signed a contract that runs through the 2027 Sprint Season, with an option for the 2027-28 season.

The former Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona forward will also occupy a Designated Player roster spot at CF Montréal.

“I am very happy to join CF Montréal and take on this new challenge,” Sánchez said.

“I’m grateful to the club for the confidence they’ve shown in me, and I’m eager to put my experience to work so that we can reach our objectives and create memorable moments for our supporters,” he added.

Sánchez began his professional career in South America with Cobreloa, Colo-Colo and River Plate before spending 18 years playing in European football.

The 37-year-old most recently featured for LaLiga side Sevilla.

During his career, Sánchez also played in England for Arsenal and Manchester United, while his European career included spells with Inter Milan and Udinese in Italy, FC Barcelona in Spain and Marseille in France.
