Transfer: Barcelona Hoping Osimhen Unlocks Move For Julian Alvarez

Barcelona are hoping that Victor Osimhen could help them complete a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, according to SPORT.

The Catalan club recently made a £100 million bid for Alvarez, but Atletico Madrid rejected the offer and made it clear they do not want to sell the Argentine to a fellow La Liga club.

Instead, Atletico would prefer to sell Alvarez to a club outside Spain if he eventually leaves.

However, Atletico are reportedly considering Osimhen as a possible replacement for Alvarez. The Nigerian striker is believed to be interested in a move to Spain, although his salary demands are said to be the biggest obstacle.

Barcelona are now monitoring the situation and hoping a possible move for Osimhen to Atletico could help pave the way for Alvarez to join them.
