Transfer: Chelsea In Shock Move To Sign Marcus Rashford From Man United Before Deadline
Chelsea have entered the race to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford before the summer transfer window closes.
The Blues have already spent more than £300 million on new players this summer, with Morgan Rogers becoming the most expensive British player ever.
Chelsea have made several major signings, including Maxence Lacroix, Marco Palestra, and Valentin Barco. The club has also brought in experienced former England internationals Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson.
Xabi Alonso’s team started their Premier League campaign with an impressive 3-2 victory over their West London rivals, Fulham, on Monday night.
However, Chelsea are now focusing on reducing their squad size. Nicolas Jackson and Liam Delap are both expected to leave, while the club is also willing to listen to offers for Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto.
Enzo Fernandez has also been linked with a move to Manchester City, but Chelsea are reportedly demanding at least £120 million for the Argentine midfielder.
While Chelsea are looking to raise funds through player sales, the club is also open to signing another versatile attacker before the transfer window closes next week.
According to reports from The Independent, Chelsea are considering a late move for Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford.
Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona and hoped to secure a permanent move to the Spanish club, but he returned to Old Trafford after the transfer did not happen.
