Transfer: David Alaba Agrees Deal To Join Maduka Okoye At Udinese

David Alaba has reportedly agreed a deal to join Serie A club Udinese as a free agent.

The Austrian defender became a free agent this summer after leaving Real Madrid when his contract with the Spanish giants expired.

Alaba has now reached a verbal agreement with Udinese and is set to continue his career in the Italian top flight.

The development was revealed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano through his X account, with formal steps still required before the move is completed.

“EXCLUSIVE: Udinese have reached a verbal agreement with David Alaba!

“Austrian star, a dream signing for the Italian club with a verbal agreement in place with former Real Madrid defender.

“Formal steps needed ahead of the here we go,” Romano wrote.

Alaba, who has Nigerian heritage, is now set to join Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye at Udinese, with Okoye having signed for the club in August 2023 on a four-year contract.
