Transfer: Man City Agree €76.5m Deal With Barcelona To Sell Rodri
Manchester City have reportedly agreed a £65.4 million (€76.5 million) deal to sell midfielder Rodri to Barcelona.
City had been hoping to convince the Spanish midfielder to remain at the Etihad and sign a new contract.
However, Rodri made it clear that he wanted to return to Spain this summer, despite having one year remaining on his current Manchester City contract.
The 30-year-old is now expected to sign a four-year contract with Barcelona.
Barcelona are prepared to spend a significant amount of money on the midfielder, despite his age.
However, manager Hansi Flick believes Rodri can bring valuable experience and quality to the squad after Barcelona won the LaLiga title this year.
Rodri also arrives at Barcelona after helping Spain win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further strengthening his reputation as one of the best midfielders in the world.
