Transfer: Rodri’s Agent Confirms Why Spain Midfielder Picked Barcelona Over Real Madrid

Rodri’s agent, Barquero, has confirmed that the Manchester City midfielder chose Barcelona over Real Madrid because of a personal decision.

The Spain international has agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a proposed move this summer, despite strong interest from Real Madrid.

Barcelona reportedly sent their contract offer to Rodri’s representatives, and the player has accepted the personal terms.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the update on X, revealing that Rodri personally informed Real Madrid of his decision.

“BREAKING: Rodri’s agent confirms he’s picked Barcelona over Real Madrid,” Romano wrote.

“Out of respect for Madrid, as they have been class, Rodri informed them that his decision is to join Barça,” Romano quoted Rodri’s agent, Barquero, as saying.

He added that the personal terms between Rodri and Barcelona have been “100% agreed.”
