Transfer: Toni Kroos Reacts As Vinicius Snubs Arsenal, Extends Contract With Real Madrid
Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has reacted after Vinicius Junior signed a new long-term contract with the Spanish giants.
Vinicius had been in talks with Real Madrid over a new deal for several months, while also being linked with a possible move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Reports claimed Arsenal were prepared to make the Brazilian winger the highest-paid player in the Premier League in an attempt to bring him to the Emirates.
However, Vinicius has ended the speculation by committing his future to Real Madrid. The club confirmed on Thursday that the 26-year-old has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2032.
Reacting to the announcement on Instagram, former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos expressed his delight.
“Thank goodness, Junior,” the former Germany international wrote.
