Transfer: Very Good Player – Mourinho Speaks On Signing Yamal For Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has praised Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal, describing him as a very good player, but has ruled out the possibility of signing him.

Mourinho made the comments during an interview with El Chiringuito while responding to reports that Real Madrid could make a surprising attempt to sign Yamal from their biggest rivals.

The Portuguese manager said he is satisfied with the quality of players already in his squad and does not believe Real Madrid need to make a move for the Barcelona star.

“Will I sign Lamine Yamal? He’s a great player. But no, we already have a top squad,” Mourinho said.

Yamal was part of the Barcelona team that won the LaLiga title ahead of Real Madrid last season.

The teenager enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 16 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Yamal also helped Spain win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further increasing his reputation as one of the best young players in world football.
