Turkish football pundit Berk Göl has warned Galatasaray not to underestimate their upcoming Turkish Super Lig clash with Kasımpaşa at Rams Park on Friday.

Victor Osimhen has been out of action for Galatasaray since suffering an injury against İstanbul Başakşehir last month.

It remains unclear whether the Nigerian striker will return against Kasımpaşa, with Galatasaray reportedly targeting his return for their Champions League clash with Barcelona next week.

However, Göl believes Galatasaray must take Friday’s league game seriously and not focus only on the Barcelona fixture.

“The Barcelona match is the target [for Osimhen], which is very understandable, but the Kasımpaşa match is a tough one. Galatasaray will be very tired and will have missing players,” Göl said.

He also warned that Galatasaray have lost some rhythm after being without a competitive match for almost a month.

“The team has also lost its rhythm, having not played a match for almost a month. The Kasımpaşa match should be taken seriously,” he added.

Galatasaray will therefore have to carefully manage Osimhen’s recovery while also ensuring they secure a positive result against Kasımpaşa before turning their attention to the Champions League encounter with Barcelona.
