Turkey: Rafael Leao names three Galatasaray players he spoke with before joining club

Galatasaray forward Rafael Leao has revealed the three players he spoke with before deciding to join the Turkish club.

The Portugal international recently completed his move to Galatasaray from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan.

Speaking ahead of Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, Leao disclosed that he contacted Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane and Lucas Torreira before making his decision.

When asked which Galatasaray players he spoke with before joining the club, Leao said: “Leroy Sane, Victor Osimhen and Lucas Torreira.”

Leao explained that he was already familiar with some members of the Galatasaray squad and also had a conversation with the coach before completing the move.

“I already knew some people from the team. I also spoke with the coach before coming. Everything was based on love. I already feel like I am at home,” he said.

The forward will now look to make his mark at Galatasaray as the club prepares for its Champions League meeting with Sporting Lisbon, having received encouragement from some of his new teammates before joining.
