UCL: Enzo Maresca Reveals Guardiola’s Private Verdict After PSG Beat Man City

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has revealed what former coach Pep Guardiola told him privately after Paris Saint-Germain defeated the Cityzens 4-2 in the Champions League during mid-week.

Guardiola attended the match at the Etihad Stadium, watching Manchester City struggle against the French Ligue 1 giants in the six-goal encounter.

Speaking to the media after the game, Maresca disclosed that Guardiola was positive about Manchester City’s performance despite their defeat.

The Italian manager also revealed that Guardiola was happy to return to the Etihad Stadium for the first time since leaving the club during the summer.

“I saw him [Guardiola] after, we were talking about the game, about the first-half, second-half,” Maresca said, according to the Manchester Evening News.

He continued: “He was, first of all, very happy to be at the stadium, and then also very positive about things that he had seen during the game.”
