UCL: He Knows Me Now – Barcelona’s Yamal Takes Dig At Galatasaray Star
Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has taken a dig at Galatasaray midfielder Mario Lemina following the Spanish side’s 4-1 victory over the Turkish club in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Yamal delivered an impressive performance at Rams Park, providing two assists and winning the Man of the Match award as Barcelona secured a convincing victory.
The teenager’s response was linked to comments Lemina made in August last year when he was asked to choose between his Galatasaray teammate Leroy Sané and Barcelona’s young star.
At the time, the Gabonese midfielder dismissed the question about Yamal, saying, “Who is Lamine Yamal? I don’t know him. I know Sané.”
Following Barcelona’s victory, Yamal appeared to respond to Lemina’s earlier remarks through a post on his Instagram account.
The Spanish international shared a picture of himself holding his Man of the Match award, accompanied by the caption, “He knows me now?” according to Sportskeeda.
Yamal’s post has drawn attention because of the contrast between Lemina’s previous comments and the winger’s influential performance in the Champions League encounter.
