Brazil legend and former Real Madrid defender Marcelo has reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the Portugal national team camp during the ongoing UEFA Nations League.

Ronaldo, 41, reportedly left Portugal’s training facility in Copenhagen following a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus earlier this week.

Marcelo showed his support for his former Real Madrid teammate by sharing a photograph of himself and Ronaldo on Instagram.

The former Brazil international accompanied the picture with a short message that appeared to express his continued support for the Portugal captain during the difficult situation.

“What can I say… @Cristiano,” Marcelo wrote.

Marcelo and Ronaldo enjoyed several successful years together at Real Madrid, forming a strong partnership that helped the Spanish club dominate European football.
