VeryDarkMan: DeeOne Attacks IGP Disu Over Alleged Refusal To Arrest Activist
Nigerian comedian and influencer, Aderombi Adedayo Martins, popularly known as DeeOne, has criticised the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, over the alleged failure to arrest activist VeryDarkMan.
DeeOne made the accusation in an Instagram video on Tuesday while reacting to VeryDarkMan’s refusal to honour a police invitation for questioning.

The comedian questioned why VeryDarkMan had not been arrested after reportedly refusing two invitations from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
He compared the situation to the arrests of former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha and businessman Blord after they allegedly failed to honour police invitations.
DeeOne accused the IGP of shielding VeryDarkMan and questioned whether the police chief was acting in the interest of Nigerians or the activist.
He said: “Fellow Nigerians, our current Inspector-General of Police, Mr Tunji Disu, is becoming a useless man. What is good for a citizen is also good for all citizens.”
DeeOne further claimed that VeryDarkMan had publicly stated that he would not honour the police invitation, yet no arrest had been made.
He alleged that approval had been given for VeryDarkMan’s arrest but claimed that the IGP was the person delaying the action.
He said: “They have approved for VeryDarkMan to be arrested. The person that is holding the arrest now is IGP Tunji Disu. So, Nigerians, is this man working for Nigerians or working for VeryDarkMan?”
DeeOne also warned that he would continue speaking about the matter and suggested that he could discuss issues surrounding the IGP’s performance if the situation persisted.
recall that VeryDarkMan had announced that he would not honour the police invitation.
The activist was invited after making a series of allegations against the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Jimoh Moshood.
