Viral Claim That Bella Shmurda Lost $4 Million In Property Scam Is False
A viral social media post claiming that Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda lost $4 million in a real estate scam has been confirmed to be false.
The claim, which spread widely online, alleged that the singer broke down in tears during an Instagram Live session after discovering that a Lagos property he purchased for $4 million was sold to him by someone who was not the rightful owner.
The post further claimed that the seller had disappeared after the transaction, prompting Bella Shmurda to seek help from the public.
However, a source close to the matter has dismissed the story, describing it as fake and misleading.
According to the source, the video being circulated is not recent. It was originally recorded in 2023 during an Instagram Live session following the death of singer Mohbad and has no connection to any property transaction.
The source said the clip was taken out of context and falsely presented as evidence of a recent real estate scam.
“This is fake news. We are not sure where the agenda came from. That video is from 2023,” the source stated.
The misleading post gained significant attention on social media and sparked concern among Bella Shmurda’s fans before it was debunked.
As of the time of reporting, Bella Shmurda has not publicly addressed the viral claim, and there is no verified evidence that he was involved in any $4 million property scam.
