WAFCON 2026: Babajide Declares Super Falcons Ready For Cameroon Showdown
Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide has declared that Nigeria are fully prepared for their quarter-final clash against Cameroon at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The defending champions will face the Indomitable Lionesses at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
The winner of the highly anticipated encounter will also secure qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria recovered from a slow start to the tournament and finished second in Group C to reach the knockout stage.
Cameroon, meanwhile, topped Group D and remain unbeaten in the competition.
Babajide believes the Super Falcons are ready for the challenge and will give everything to secure victory.
“We are very excited to play Cameroon. We have played against them a couple of times before, we know their strengths, we are prepared, and ready to face them,” Babajide told the Super Falcons Show.
“We know why we are here, we need to get the ticket to the World Cup, we are focused, and we are ready,” she added.
