Why I Celebrate When People Get Divorced – Comedian Bovi

Popular Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has revealed that he often celebrates when couples get divorced, explaining that he sees it as a sign that someone has been freed from an unhappy marriage.

Speaking during a recent episode of The Moraya Show, Bovi said he believes that many divorces happen because one or both partners have been struggling in the relationship.

According to him, the end of such a marriage can bring relief and allow those involved to move on with their lives.

The comedian stressed that his support for divorce does not mean he is against marriage. Rather, he believes divorce is a better option than remaining trapped in a toxic relationship.

He said, “I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or both people were not breathing well in the marriage. I will not suffer anybody neither will I want anybody to suffer me.”

Bovi also spoke about his own marriage, noting that despite being married for 17 years, the journey has not always been easy.

He said, “That is not to say my marriage has been easy for 17 years. It has not. I got married at 29. I have been providing for 17 years nonstop.”

His comments have sparked discussions online, with many people sharing different opinions on marriage, divorce, and the challenges couples face in long-term relationships.
