Zlatan Apologizes To Seyi Vibez After Online Clash

Nigerian rapper and singer Zlatan Ibile has publicly apologized to fellow musician Seyi Vibez following their recent online disagreement.

The feud reportedly began on May 26 after Seyi Vibez accused Zlatan of mocking his Fuji Moto project through ad-libs on Adekunle Gold’s song “Life of the Faaji.”

In response, Seyi Vibez allegedly called Zlatan a “backup artiste” and also criticized his clothing brand.

However, Zlatan later took to social media to clarify the situation and apologize, saying it was a misunderstanding.

He wrote: “It actually hurts that my brother thinks I would diss him in anyway. It’s literally a misunderstanding. @seyi_vibez it’s all love bro, when you’re ready to talk it out I’m here!! 4L ABURO MI.”

As of the time of filing this report, Seyi Vibez is yet to publicly respond to the apology.

Two Children, Three Others Killed In Ogun Auto Crash

No fewer than five people have been confirmed dead, while 10 others sustained serious injuries in a road accident that occurred on Thursday at Iyana Egbado along the Abeokuta–Lagos Expressway in Ogun State.

The lone crash involved a white Mazda E2000 bus with registration number KRD809XC carrying 20 passengers.

According to the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Sector Command, Odunsi Afolabi, the accident happened at about 11:12 a.m.

He explained that the passengers included six adult males, eleven adult females, one male child, and two female children.

Afolabi said five people lost their lives in the crash, including two children, one adult man, and two adult women, while 10 others suffered different degrees of injuries. Five passengers escaped unhurt.

“The crash occurred at about 11:12 am and was reported at 1115HRS. FRSC rescue operatives from RS2.28 Itori Unit Command arrived at the scene at 1120HRS, with a response time of five minutes.

“Out of the twenty persons involved, five persons were killed, comprising one adult male, two adult females, one male child, and one female child. Ten persons sustained varying degrees of injuries, while five persons escaped unhurt,” he said.

According to preliminary investigations, excessive speed and overloading were identified as the likely causes of the accident.

The injured victims were taken to General Hospital, Ifo, and Oreofe Specialist Hospital, Itori, for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the General Hospital Morgue in Ifo.

Reacting to the incident, the Ogun State FRSC Sector Commander, Oludare Ogunjobi, sympathized with the families of the victims and urged motorists to avoid speeding, overloading, and other traffic violations.

He also advised drivers to strictly obey traffic regulations, especially during the festive period, stressing that road safety is everyone’s responsibility.

One Killed, Others Injured In Osun Cult Clash

The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the death of an unidentified man following a suspected cult clash in Ede town, Osun State.

The Command’s spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the incident occurred on Tuesday and that investigations have already started.

“Suspected cultists had a clash on Tuesday, and one person was killed. Investigation is ongoing,” he said.

Reports gathered from the area also indicated that two undergraduates were allegedly killed during a cult-related attack at an off-campus apartment in Ede.

Sources said about six students were attacked after suspected cult members reportedly invaded the residence and assaulted them with dangerous weapons.

According to a police source, the incident may be connected to an ongoing rivalry between cult groups operating in the area.

The source explained that the attackers allegedly stormed the apartment at night during what was described as a revenge mission.

“The attack occurred in the night. The students were in their room when some cultists who were on a revenge mission forced their way into the apartment and started attacking them with dangerous weapons.

“The students sustained varying degrees of injuries, and two later succumbed to their injuries,” the source said.

Other injured victims are reportedly receiving treatment at a hospital.

Reports also suggested that the clash involved members of the Aye and Buccaneer confraternities.

Police Rescue Kidnapped Victim In Adamawa, Kill Two Suspects

The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped victim after abductors allegedly demanded N90 million ransom from his family.

The victim, Sidiki Isah, a 54-year-old resident of Tambo Village in Girei Local Government Area, was reportedly held in a hideout by the kidnappers before police tracked down the location.

The operation was confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who said the rescue followed intelligence received by the command concerning the abduction.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, immediately deployed operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force using geospatial intelligence to trace the kidnappers.

Nguroje explained that security operatives surrounded the area, but the suspects opened fire after noticing the approaching team.

“The security team responded professionally and successfully repelled the attackers,” he said.

During the gun battle, two suspected kidnappers were killed, while others reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds.

Police also recovered two AK-47 rifles, 17 rounds of live ammunition, a mobile phone, charms, and other items from the scene.

Nguroje added that the victim was rescued unharmed and has since been reunited with his family.
