2026 Ballon d’Or: Winner Set To Be Decided As Voting Ends

Voting for the 2026 Ballon d’Or will close today, Monday, with the winner set to be determined by an international jury.

For the men’s award, selected journalists from the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings will cast their votes to decide the winner.

Among the leading contenders are Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona midfielder Rodri.

For the women’s award, voting will be conducted by a jury of 50 specialised journalists from the top 50 FIFA-ranked nations.

Some of the players considered among the favourites for the women’s award are Manchester City forward Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Alexia Putellas, who recently left Barcelona for London City Lionesses.

The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in London, UK, on October 26, where the winners of the men’s and women’s awards will be announced.
