2027 AFCONQ: Super Eagles Arrive In Abuja After 3-0 Defeat To Guinea-Bissau

Players and coaches of the Super Eagles have arrived back in Abuja following their 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.

The defeat on Tuesday was Nigeria’s first in the series after they came from behind to beat Madagascar 2-1 last Friday.

Franculino Djú gave the hosts the lead in the first half after cutting in from the left and curling his shot past Stanley Nwabali.

After the break, Mama Baldé doubled Guinea-Bissau’s advantage before Álvaro Djaló added a third goal in stoppage time.

The result leaves the Super Eagles in second place in Group L with three points.

Guinea-Bissau have won their first two qualifying matches and sit at the top of the group with six points.

Madagascar and Tanzania both have one point each after playing out a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
